Expo Models 2023

One of the many attractions of attending the Diecast Model Expo, for every diecast collector, is the exclusive models made available during the event.

All expo models are only available for purchase at the 2023 Diecast Model Expo.

Kenworth K200 Phat cab, Doolans heavy haulage, satin black edition. 

Doolans heavy haulage are a company that specialises in heavy and oversized components, with a capacity to move between 12 to 1,200 Tonne loads. Doolans have an extensive truck and trailer range. The Diecast model expo is excited to add a Doolans special satin black edition to the collection. 

Drake collectables have produced this high quality 1:50 replica model. In the tradition of expo exclusives the white paint is swapped out with satin black. This will be a very low run model and comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity.

Ford Falcon FGX Harvey Norman Supergirls

Ford Falcon FGX Harvey Norman Supergirls, 2015 Bathurst 1000 Renee Gracie/Simona De Silvestro  

The last time two female drivers were to tackle the great race was back in 1998. A deal was done in 2015 to create the next all lady driver team and Harvey Norman was to back the Prodrive racing prepared Ford Falcon FGX. Renee Gracie was to team up with Simona De Silvestro. The Supergirls Falcon would start 25th. Gracie lead the Falcon away in the great race. After settling into the great race, Gracie was to bury the front of the car into the tyre wall at forest elbow on lap 15 due to an oil slick on the track. The team was able to repair the car and the Supergirls went on to finish 21st. The all lady team was to return in 2016 driving a Nissan Ultima and De Silvestro became a fulltime Supercars driver from 2017.  

Authentic collectables will produce this highly detailed Ford Falcon FGX. The 1:18 scale model will feature opening bonnet, doors and boot.

Holden VK Commodore STP 1983 Bathurst 1000, Allan Grice/Colin Bond 

This striking looking group C Holden Commodore wore the STP war paint for the 1983 great race. Grice was joined by legendary driver Colin Bond.  Grice was to qualify the STP Commodore in 8th position in the Hardies heroes. Brock was to win the great race after switching cars and Moffat came second in the Mazda RX7. Grice and Bond were to finish a very credible 3rd position.  

ACE models have crafted this resin model. The quality and finish is excellent. The standout livery is accurately replicated and this model will look superb in any 1:43 scale collection.

JPS Team BMW M3 Bathurst 1000 1987, Jim Richards/Tony Longhurst  

The famous JPS BMW team was lead by Frank Gardner. Jim Richards was the number one team driver and tasted much success in the Australian touring car championship due to the stunning handling ability of the BMW M3. With Bathurst favoring the higher horse power cars the BMW was at a disadvantage at the mountain. Richards would qualify in 12th but a solid race performance by both drivers gave them a finishing position of fourth(2 Sierras disqualified).  

Mini Gt have produced this quality model car exclusive for the 2023 Expo. The detail for the size is exceptional and will also include a set of missing decals. This is going to be one of the lowest production runs Mini Gt have ever done!

Holden LJ Torana GTR-XU1, Bob Morris 

One of Australia’s motorsport legends was Bob Morris. Morris won the Bathurst great race in 1976 and the touring car championship in 1979. Morris was to campaign the stout Holden LJ Torana GTR-XU1 in 1973-74. The LJ Torana was to race in many touring car races and in the Hardie Ferodo 1000 at Bathurst. This giant killer survives today and is one of the great looking group C cars of the era. 

Diecast distributors Australia will produce this quality model car in the fast growing 1:24 scale. It will feature opening bonnet, doors and boot to show off the intricate detail.

Membrey’s Kenworth T909 Director Series

Membrey’s Kenworth T909 Director Series . 50th Birthday Truck, Satin black. 

The Membrey Transport and crane hire company has a rich history in our country. Current owner Craig Membrey took over the family business when only five trucks were in the fleet. This superb looking Kenworth T909 Directors series was specially decorated with artwork to honour Craig Membreys 50th Birthday. Now that’s a pretty cool birthday present to yourself! 

In the tradition of Drake expo models, the theme is too adorn the truck  with satin black paint. We are extremely honoured to be able to bring this truck project to you, with the great support of Drake collectables and Craig Membrey.

Ford Falcon FGX Milwaukee racing

Ford Falcon FGX Milwaukee racing, 2018 Will Davison Queensland raceway

Two time Bathurst champion Will Davison drove for the new 23red racing team in 2018. Running a Ford Falcon FGX he showed that his driving was as good as ever. Major sponsor Milwaukee were launching a new range of power tools utilizing 12.0 amp battery power. Davison was to run a special livery at the Queensland raceway round to promote the new product range. The car also featured a number change to #120.  

Authentic collectables have produced this high quality model with opening bonnet, doors and boot.

Holden VC Commodore, Bathurst 1980. Allan Grice/John Smith 

Allan Grice was one of Australia’s toughest drivers. Starting as a privateer he regularly took it to the big guns and beat them. In 1980 Holden aces turned to the new VC Commodore. This model depicts the 1980 Bathurst car. Grice was able to qualify his Commodore in 5th position and went on to finish a credible 7th

Holden ZB Commodore Gen2 Supercar, Triple 8 development car

Triple 8 were entrusted with developing the all new Gen2 Holden ZB Commodore. Being the factory Holden team, they had to deliver. The new car rolled out in a special Holden Red Bull racing livery. The car was driven by Jamie Whincup and Shane Van Gisbergen. This was to be Holden’s last car and delivered outstanding results before being replaced by the Camaro. 

Biante have produced this diecast model car with opening bonnet, doors and rear hatch.
