One of the many attractions of attending the Diecast Model Expo, for every diecast collector, is the exclusive models made available during the event.
Ford XY GTHO Superfalcon-1971 Calder Park
Ford ran a program of producing two race specific Falcon’s to compete with the overseas cars that were dominating the Australian Touring car scene. One car went to big Pete Geoghegan and the other to Alan Moffat. This exclusive model depicts the car developed by Allan Moffat. Although Moffat rarely used in races this car had much significance to our touring car history.
Classic Carlectables will replicate this model. It’s a difficult model to get 100% accurate as reference material is scarce and Moffat drove in many different combinations. We believe this model will be a great representation of this car and will be well sought after by model collectors. A run of 1000 will be produced and available to Expo attendees for $230.
Scott McLaughlin- Polestar Volvo S60 GRM 2014 Australian grand Prix

Valiant VG Pacer Hardtop, Hot Mustard
The Chrysler Valiant brand was quite a force in the 60’s and 70’s. The bold styling and more powerful engine combinations gave them an edge on the other local producers. August 1970 saw the arrival of the new updated VG Valiant. The biggest news was the addition of the Hemi motor. The Pacer range utilised the 245ci Hemi and was available in various power outputs. The glamourous 2 door Hardtop Pacer was the pinnacle of Valiant beauty at the time. Armco models have superbly replicated this model in high quality resin. The long body lines and boxy shape have been captured and the authentic Pacer markings are there for you to fall in love with again. As a little something different, Armco models have added the period correct Jelly Bean mags that many cars found themselves rolling on. This combination is only done with the exclusive Model Expo release in Hot Mustard. To purchase one of these gems you will need to attend one of the special Expo meal events(Bogan Bingo/Gala dinner).

MFP and Interceptor Twin Set
The Interceptor from the movie Mad Max would no doubt be Australia’s most famous movie car. Its an Aussie icon all over the world. The Falcon Hardtop was a masterful choice when combined with the all black paint, and almost backyard performance look. The unique body kit also gave it that masked executioner look, like the grim reaper on wheels. But the Black interceptor was not Max’s first car in the movie. The distinct 4 door Falcon XB was the standard issue. Labelled the MFP Interceptor, they were painted in bold colours and striping. Police lights and sirens, and a large CB radio antenna adorned the cars. ACE models have produced this stunning twin set of Interceptors. The detail and accuracy of shape is very well done and all the special touches of the real cars is replicated in this small scale. The packaging also enhances the models by depicting them sitting on a road with the vast outback road background.
