Ford FG-X DJR Penske, Scott McLaughlin First drive 2017
Scott McLaughlin was to be the biggest team mover for the 2017 season. After driving for GRM for four years and clearly showing his outstanding ability, it was the might and power of the DJR Penske outfit that was to land his services in 2017. Another big team signing was ex Triple 8 engineer Ludo Lucroix who is one of the greatest in the business. McLaughlin’s first chance to sample a DJR Penske beast was the team ride day at Queensland Raceway on January 31, 2017. This gave him a chance to get a feel of the car, his surroundings and a very French accent thru the radio!

In 1973 the Harry Firth led HDT team presented a very aggressive Torana for their two lead drivers to campaign in the sports sedan category. The highly modified Torana was powered by a mid-mounted F5000 Repco V8. Brock was to drive the Torana in Victorian rounds and Bond to contest the NSW races. The car had much success and became known as “The Beast”.
Ace models have finely crafted this distinct rare LJ Torana. Its very well made and the proportions are spot on giving you an appreciation of the level of modification carried out by HDT. The model will come with two sets of numbers. You can simply apply the waterslide decals to the model to depict Brock or Bond’s racing number.

Kenworth T904 Rowan truck with Drake float, Satin black edition
The Membrey Transport company has a rich history in our country. Current owner Craig Membrey took over the family business when only five trucks were in the fleet. He built the business up offering tray trucks, crane trucks, prime movers, flat tops, step decks, extendable trailers, and specialised trailers. Tragically Craig lost his eldest son Rowan at age 17 and dedicated a truck in his memory.
In the tradition of Drake expo models, the theme is too adorn the truck combination with satin black paint. We were extremely honoured to be able to bring this truck project to you, with the great support of Drake collectables and Craig Membrey.
