Diecast model collecting is great, but would you like to speak with key diecast model industry representatives and Australian motor racing legends?
The Diecast Model Expo committee has invited die-cast model industry peers to attend and avail themselves to attendees during the Diecast Model Expo. Not only this, but also well known Australian motor racing drivers. Whether as a visitor or as a guest speaker at one of the Expo Events, the Diecast Model Expo is committed to providing attendees the opportunity of getting up close and personal with die-cast model industry professionals and racing legends.
Some of the Expo Events will incorporate speeches from industry peers and respected race car drivers. Also scheduled, but yet to be confirmed, are surprise visits by recognised race car drivers from the past and present. The Diecast Model Expo is in discussions with several race car drivers and teams to secure the attendance of some of the most famous names in Australian motorsport.
As more details are finalised in the near future, the Diecast Model Expo committee will regularly update this website and, should you sign up for the Diecast Model Expo newsletter, provide you with updates of these special guests as their attendance is confirmed.

John French was an iconic racer thru the 70's and 80's and one of Fords greatest drivers. Who could forgot the gorgeous XY GTHO that he drove solo to second place at Bathurst in the rain in 1972. The other great Bathurst achievement came in 1981 when he co drove with Dick Johnson to victory. John French was a very successful race car driver and we are delighted to have him along to the 2015 Diecast model Expo. Mr French will be attending the Gala dinner and will be a guest speaker followed by a signing session.

Leo Pruneau-Holden chief designer 1969-1985
The Diecast Model Expo is very excited to announce that Leo Pruneau will be attending the 2015 Expo. You may be wondering who is Leo Pruneau? Let me tell you no one influenced Holden cars more than this man. All your hero cars from Holden have Leo’s influence all over them. Styling the Torana GTR XU-1, A9X, HQ-HX Monaro’s, Statesman’s, and the Commodore are just part of his history with Holden. Leo Pruneau will be a guest of honour at the Gala Dinner and will be having a talk about something of major Holden motoring history. You will be amazed to hear him talk from another side of the racing fence. Remember what the race teams wanted to win at Bathurst had to transfer to the road cars, and Leo had to make that happen. Gaining an autograph on such model cars would be a very nice touch to your collection too.

Aaron Noonan, TV presenter and The V8 Sleuth
Aaron Noonan is a veteran of over a decade in the Australian motorsport community. Noonan has been involved with print media and editorial roles with many of the best motorsport magazines. Calling races and presenting TV shows is a real passion for the presenter and his extensive knowledge has led him to be known as “The V8 Sleuth”. Documenting the history of all the modern V8 chassis ensures the rich history of these machines will never be lost. We are very excited to have “Noons” coming along to have some fun with a couple of larrikin V8 drivers and you the attendees of the 2015 Diecast Model Expo. “Noons” is brought to you by Biante model cars.
Bob Morris was at his peak during the years that were dominated by Peter Brock, Allan Moffat and Dick Johnson. This did not mean Bob Morris could not show his raw talent. Winning one of the most tense Bathurst 1000 finishes, the Morris/Fitzpatrick Torana made it home to tears and raw emotion from the entire team watching in pit lane. Bob Morris was also the touring car champion in 1979, this time in a beautiful Holden Torana A9X Hatchback. Morris went on to drive touring cars right thru til 1984. Here is another interesting fact, Bob Morris was the first person to drive a pace car at Bathurst in 1987 to conform to FIA rules. With many model cars produced that Bob Morris drove, be sure to bring them along and have the legend personally sign them for that extra special touch.
